Our Client is currently looking for a Head of Risk & Compliance to join an ambitious financial services company who are currently at a crucial stage in their growth. This innovative company are already having significant success and are looking to take on a Head of Risk & Compliance.
As the Head of Risk & Compliance you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate processes, systems and structures are in place to manage compliance within the Firm’s regulatory obligations and requirements of the FCA.
The role has responsibility for the end to end process from policy design to monitoring and reporting on compliance and for embedding a strong risk/compliance based culture within the Firm. The role requires strong regulatory liaison experience with proven relationship management skills and stakeholder engagement experience.

Responsibilities
• The next Head of R/C will direct and guide all activities within the Risk & Compliance Function and ensure that such activities are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
• The successful candidate will advise the business on all of their Compliance& Risk responsibilities and ensure that senior management are aware of their regulatory obligations.
• He/she  must be able to ensure internal and external relationship are managed effectively
• The future Head of R/C will be in charge to solve wide range compliance issues relating to IT/SOFTWARE
• He/she will implement best practice compliance rules into functional requirements for the product development team
• The successful candidate must be able to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability to ensure it will not cause risk

Requirements

• The applicant must be eligible to work in UK and must speak English with proficiency
• The successful candidate must have gained extensive senior Compliance and Risk Experience with a leading corporate bank or insurance group
• The potential candidate must prove experience of the regulatory requirements contained in the FCA/PRA Handbooks and other relevant regulatory requirements
• Evidence of managing a risk and compliance environment involving customer service, system and control and fiscal responsibilities
• Degree qualified and relevant compliance qualifications
• Communication, influencing and negotiating skills
• Good project management and implementation including prioritising workloads under pressure to deliver against prescribed deadlines
